Lake Titicaca

We left La Paz in a hurry, half excited to see Lake Titicaca and half excited to simply get out of La Paz. Our close friend Tad has a theory, he called it the ´Corn Dog Theory´. He stipulates that the first corn dog is fantastic, so good that usually you end up wanting another one. Inevitably the next corn dog just isn´t that exciting...its too familiar and almost gross. That was La Paz for us. After our trek and the Huayna Potosi climb we returned to La Paz hungry and ready for a little relaxation. The first day was great: pizza, beer and a good night´s sleep. Then came the next day. We started noticing the incessant honking, tauts on the street became annoying and dog poo dodging started to get old.

So we headed north to Lake Titicaca, a huge, medium blue lake lying between Peru and Bolivia at 13,000 feet. We were lucky enough to catch the trifecta of an outstanding sunset, a full moon and a killer sunrise. A lot of walking, a lot of trout and a minute away from the mountains...

We´re in Peru (Arequipa) now...just did a climb of a local volcano and are off to Canyon country in the early morning. Thanks for checking in...
