Holy Cow!

Pictures of Rajasthan--the desert state in western India. Forts, intense colors contrasting the sandy landscape and cows everywhere! We were in the cities of Udaipur, Jodphur and Jaisalmer. We bought artwork, suits and work clothes and Kori even bought a Sari (oh yeah, I will get that picture posted..). Pictures below..

Monument to Maharajah and his wives. In the past when the ruler died, his wives apparently threw themselves into his funeral pyre. This guy had 8 of them.

The video below was taken in the MehrangarhFort in Jodhpur--we do very few tours because they are usually a drag, but this one was outstanding. No trash, no people selling things, no naked kids playing in trash, just a great view and feel for India before the British came.
