The Impenetrable Forest (Silverback Video)

A few pics from Gorilla tracking in Uganda. Most of our pictures are still inaccessible but we were able to upload a video of one of the Silverbacks climbing a tree and tearing it down--we are working with a small point and shoot but you can imagine how cool this experience was. The gorilla was 10 yards away when he did this. Minutes after seeing the Silverback, we followed him to the rest of the group and before we knew it we were surrounded. They are incredibly human-like creatures, each have distinct and unique facial features and their personality traits were clear in the short hour we spent in their nesting site. For both of us, this was an experience was equally humbling and thrilling.

We will post other photos in the future if we are able to access them, including a few up close facial shots that were taken by our friends.

Hope all is well...more on the way..
