Time to catch up. Right now we are in Turkey and will soon be in Bangkok. We are trying to tell the story of Africa from the Middle East before heading to Asia...and we still need to describe our month in Europe. Confused? Swaziland
This was our first taste of modern life in a long time, although these pictures do not show it. We were happy to see gas stations with convenience stores, paved roads and cappuccinos for Kori.
Swaziland is a small country but has a very interesting past that it works hard to cling to. It is still ruled by its king, one of only a few nations with a ruling monarchy. The king is an open polygamist as well, stating that this is a cultural tradition that must be maintained.
